Dung Trinh, MD

Vice President of Education

Dung Trinh, MD is the Chief Medical Officer of Healthy Brain Clinic, a Board Member for Alzheimer’s Orange County, a physician with MemorialCare, and is a medical missionary with TongueOut Medical Missions.  He is a keynote speaker, best-selling author, and host of “Health Talks with Dr Trinh” which can be heard weekly on OC Talk Radio.

Hoa Nguyen

Hoa Nguyen, MD

Board Advisor

Dr. Hoa Nguyen is a board-certified internist who is passionate in serving sickest and frailest patients. With more than 12 years of experience in taking care of patients in multiple settings including in the ER, hospital, long term acute care, along with home bound geriatric patients, Dr. Nguyen knows how to make health care personal and improves healthcare with meaningful results. He also served as a regional lead physician at Landmark Health, the largest house-call program in the nation, managing complex, chronic patients at home. In addition, with his previous position as a physician advisor and telemedicine provider for the State of California, he has learned how to meet and take care of patients whenever and wherever. He also specializes in treating patients to get off of opioid, alcohol, heroin, and other substance use disorders. He understands that most wellness goals are a process and are not solved with a prescription. He strongly believes in comprehensive principles of biochemical individuality based on genetic and environmental uniqueness, patient centered care as opposed to disease-centered care, health as a function of dynamic balance between internal and external factors, and health is a positive vitality rather than merely the absence of disease.

Hye-Won Grace Shin, PhD

Chief Science Officer, Chief Global Affairs Officer

Dr. Hye-Won (Grace) Shin is the Chief Scientific Officer at RIIID Medical Group. She oversees research projects, develops scientific evidence-based community education programs and establishes domestic and global partnerships.

Dr. Shin is a biomedical engineer with a chemical engineering background and clinical translational research experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from UCI. Dr. Shin’s areas of research expertise and interest include: minimally-invasive medical technology for early detection of inflammation and infection, mobile health technology for chronic disease management, biomarkers, biotransport, and multiscale systems integration. Dr. Shin also focuses on developing biomedical and social interventions that can reduce racial and ethnic health disparities, specifically among Asian immigrants with limited English proficiency. She has published 30+ research papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals; 60+ conference proceedings and has written multiple successful research grants. In addition, she is an inventor on four issued patents. Dr. Shin has been invited to present at national and international science conferences over 60 occasions. In addition, she has been invited to serve as a National Institute of Health extramural grant reviewer and has served as a referee for a number of peer-reviewed journals including the IEEE Sensors Journal, Journal of Breath Research, the Journal of Applied Physiology, European Respiratory Journal, and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine to provide expert evaluations on the research of fellow scientists.

In parallel, Dr. Shin serves as the Director of Asian American Community Outreach at UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders ( ); a Community Advisory Board member for the CARE research project (https://careregistry.ucsf.edu) by representing Somang Society (www.somangsociety.org).

Karl Tokita, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

Karl Tokita has worked in the Orange County medical community for over 20 years.  He was a founding member and current Chief Operations Officer of KSK Medical, a private provider of cancer, advanced imaging, and outpatient surgical services.   He also works with several local charities including as a board member for Team Kids and as an emeritus board member for the Irvine Public Schools Foundation.

Lisa Thurman

Chief Operations Officer and Compliance

Lisa Thurman brings over 20 years’ experience in medical operations development and pharmaceutical research to the RiiiD Team. Most recently, she has partnered with a non-profit organization to speed the delivery of new therapies for central nervous system diseases. With her extensive background in clinical operations development and compliance, including building and overseeing new practices, Lisa is eager to bring new, innovative approaches to integrative wellness through RiiiD Medical. Her mission is to accelerate quality of care by designing and implementing an innovative and adaptive platform for whole-body wellness.

Narges Feizabadi MSN, FNP-C, CVNP-BC

Abdullah Ibish, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Ibish is a Triple Board Certified Fellowship Trained NeuroIntensive Care and Vascular Neurologist.  He completed his undergraduate education with distinction at the University of California-Santa Barbara- graduating Suma cum laude in Cell Biology and  Chemistry. He then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Ibish cultivated an academic and clinical interest in neurology. He completed his Neurology Residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.  During his residency, Dr. Ibish decided to pursue further subspecialty training. Returning to hometown in Southern California, he completed a Vascular Neurology and Stroke Fellowship at USC Keck School of Medicine and a 2 year clinical fellowship  in Neuro Critical Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young children, playing basketball and literature.

Yuki Kashiwabara, MD

Physician

She has 20 years of experience in both private practice and academic medicine.  Her fluency in Japanese has allowed her to treat patients who often felt intimidated and vulnerable in a medical setting and set them at ease.  It is important to her to see patients as a whole person and to allow them to thrive to the best of their abilities.

Lead Nurse Practitioner and Director of Nursing

Narges Feizabadi MSN, FNP-C, CVNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner with twelve years of successful experience in medical practice. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (2013) and has a subspecialty in Cardiovascular Medicine (2017). Narges aspires to continue serving her patients and the community at large while at the same time acquiring as much knowledge in the nursing profession as possible. To this end, she is currently pursuing her doctoral degree and is set to graduate in 2022. Narges speaks fluent Farsi as well as English./p>
